Napoli striker Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has issued a stern warning, stating that he “reserves the right to take legal action” against the club following the posting and subsequent deletion of a video that mocked the player on Napoli’s official TikTok account.
In a statement released on the messaging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Calenda expressed his outrage over the video and its impact on Osimhen, calling it a source of “very serious damage to the player.”
Calenda stated, “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted. We reserve the right to take legal action and any other useful initiative to protect Victor.”
As of now, Napoli has not responded to the situation, and their official comment is pending.
The controversy surrounding Osimhen escalated after he missed a late penalty in a goalless draw against Bologna in a Serie A match on Sunday. Following the match, Osimhen was substituted, and his reaction to the substitution, which involved shouting at coach Rudi Garcia, drew attention. However, the French manager downplayed the situation.
