He passed away on September 21 after an unfortunate accident in the kitchen. Akhil Mishra is survived by his wife, actress Suzanne Bernert, who is still grappling with the tragic loss of her husband.
Suzanne Bernert, on September 22, took to Instagram to share a poignant post in remembrance of her late husband. She posted a throwback picture of the couple, accompanied by a heart-wrenching note expressing her emotions and appreciation for the outpouring of love and support from well-wishers.
In her heartfelt Instagram post, Suzanne wrote, “This was us, always engaging with each other, talking, many times just by a glance … You were Myme, and I was yours. I am overwhelmed by all the love pouring out, and I wish that your love takes his soul ahead to where it is going… like a wave … I am thanking everyone here for all the messages. I hope you can understand I can’t answer all (what you know me for), but be assured I am reading the comments and am taking that love and support… And now, usually, I would show this post to @akhillmishraa to ask his opinion… something to add or clarify… now I can’t anymore.”
Akhil Mishra’s death came as a shock to the industry. He had reportedly slipped in the kitchen, causing a head injury. Despite efforts by medical professionals, he could not survive and passed away a few hours later.

On the personal front, Akhil Mishra married German actress Suzanne Bernert on February 3, 2009, and they later had a traditional wedding ceremony on September 30, 2011.
