
Bollywood sensation Vicky Kaushal is gearing up to take on the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the upcoming film ‘Sam Bahadur,’ directed by Meghna Gulzar. The highly anticipated movie is set to hit the screens on December 1, 2023, and promises to shed light on the remarkable life of the iconic Chief of the Army Staff.
In an exclusive conversation with India Today.in, Vicky Kaushal shared his excitement about the project, saying, “It’s another film that I am really, really proud of. It’s about a great man. Once again, I’m working with Meghna Gulzar. There are a lot of things in the film that I want to talk about, but at the right time. It’s something I am really looking forward to.”
‘Sam Bahadur’ also features talented actors Sanya Malhotra, who portrays Sam’s wife Silloo, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, who takes on the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Apart from his role in ‘Sam Bahadur,’ Vicky Kaushal is juggling multiple projects. He is currently working on ‘The Great Indian Family’ and is eagerly anticipating his role in ‘Chhava,’ directed by Laxman Utekar. In ‘Chhava,’ Vicky will be portraying the character of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Maratha empire’s founder, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Speaking about his upcoming collaboration with Laxman Utekar, Vicky expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m working with Laxman sir and Maddock again. I’m getting into the shoot shortly. Again, I’m super excited about the film too.”
